Welcome!
Voicing Education is here to help you to uncover your self-worth and inspire you to use your voice to communicate effectively in order to transform your life. I want to guide you to grow; to hear about your successes during your journey and to witness change because of your impact!
Do you feel muted but you have a lot to say?
You know what you should say. You’ve replayed the conversations in your mind word for word and have felt content with the imaginary intended outcome yet for some reason this does not translate to real life and wonder you why?
And inside you are screaming ideas that can propel you forward with hope to inspire others too; all you want is to communicate effectively so your views are heard and are valued…
Are you experiencing burnout?
You often feel mentally drained but know there is still so much to do. You barely have time to eat lunch, let alone socialise with your colleagues.
In this space, I will be voicing my views on aspects of education, sharing tips on productivity and teacher health and wellbeing.
But who am I?
I’m Kathleen. I have felt the burnout but have begun to find a work-life balance. Like you, I am continuously learning to use my voice to communicate my opinions and feelings clearly to educate, to inspire others and whilst doing so make an impact.
I am constantly evolving and embrace this.
For the last 17 years, I have worked in education. Currently, I work in a larger than average primary school in London as a Deputy Headteacher. I am privileged to work in a forward-thinking headship team; we challenge each other to grow and are constantly evaluating how we can do things better for both the staff and pupils.
Learning excites me.
I empower leaders through strategic coaching, helping them build and expand their leadership capacity. I guide and mentor middle leaders, sharpening their leadership skills and supporting them in refining their ideas with clarity and purpose. Above all, I prioritise reminding educators of the importance of their well-being and the effective use of their voice in a variety of contexts, ensuring they lead with confidence and resilience.

The world is changing; it is advancing so rapidly. Now is the time for the quiet ones, the introverts, the timid teachers who have been shut down, the leaders who feel defeated and deflated to rise up again. Using your voice effectively will fill you with self-assurance and help you to buy back time.
